Roman Fest 2026

The ROMANS RETURN as the Chester House Estate Roman Fest is back again on Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th of July 2026!

Admission to the event is FREE for the whole family to enjoy but please ensure that you book a free ticket so we can manage numbers for this very popular, previously sold out event.

A sneak preview of our exciting programme for this year’s Roman Fest includes:

1. 1. Roman army displays
   2. Roman crafts activities and demonstrations
   3. Stalls with family friendly activities run by museums, local societies and professional archaeologists from Northamptonshire and beyond.
   4. The Northamptonshire Archaeological Resource Centre Open Day
   5. Tours of our excavation
   6. A pop up Laboratory run by University of Leicester School of Archaeology and Ancient History
   7. Art exhibition inspired by the Roman World by students at Northampton College.
