The Chester House Estate is free and accessible to all, even your four legged friends!

Our site is dog friendly, with lots of areas for dogs to enjoy and a selection of walks around the site to explore 10,000 years of history with your furry friends. We do ask that you keep your dogs on leads at all times whilst on site as we do have sheep grazing in the landscape.

Most of our buildings are accessible to dogs, we only ask that you don't take your dogs into the Archaeological Resource Centre (ARC) and the Farm Shop. We do have indoor seating within our Farmhouse Kitchen where you can sit inside with your dogs, please ask a member of staff within the Cafe which room you can sit in.

There's lots for your dogs to do on site, with a shop dedicated to them located in our History Garden - the Canine Cottage is run by Trinkety Paws and have designed a shop that has lots of treats and gifts for dogs.

Why don't you pop into our gift shop and pick up some dog friendly ice cream!
