Dog friendly

The Chester House Estate is free and accessible to all, even your four legged friends!

Our site is dog friendly, with lots of areas for dogs to enjoy and a selection of walks around the site to explore 10,000 years of history with your furry friends. We do ask that you keep your dogs on leads at all times whilst on site as we do have sheep grazing in the landscape.

Most of our buildings are accessible to dogs...

We only ask that you don't take your dogs into the Archaeological Resource Centre (ARC). We do have an indoor dog-friendly room within our The Farmhouse where you can sit inside with your dogs, please ask a member of catering staff which room you can sit in.

There's lots for your dogs to do on site, with a shop dedicated to them located in our courtyard - Trinkety Paws - selling dog leads, lots of treats and gifts for dyour furry friends.

Why don't you pop into our Hay Barn Bar and pick up some dog friendly ice cream, or treat your dogs to A Dog's Dinner served in The Farmhouse. View our menu here.
