Lace Wars – 18th Century Re-enactment

Lace Wars Rebellion Event at the Chester House Estate

23rd and 24th July – 10am until 4pm 

Lace Wars re-enactment group portrays life during the Eighteenth-Century.

​They specialise in the period 1740-1760, in particular the Jacobite Rebellion, but they have also been known to dabble with events based on smugglers, highwaymen and other ne’er-do-wells! They stage events throughout the year at historic sites in the UK and will be visiting The Chester House Estate on 23rd and 24th July 2022. (10am-4pm).

Tickets for the event are FREE and you do not need to pre book.

On each day we will have the following displays –

  • Show-and-tell display of around twenty minutes duration, showing the troops of both sides, their uniforms, equipment, weapons, and methods of fighting, with commentary.
  • Skirmish Display: This will depend on the number of attendees from our group
  • Children’s musket drill.
  • We can also supply a question and answer quiz and colouring pictures for you to copy if required, please let us know well in advance.
