Traditional Ancient Crafts Day: Hafting and more with The Prehistoric Workshop.

This workshop is only suitable for over 18's.

Hafting in the processes of attaching a stone or metal tool to a handle or strap.
You will learn the basics of flint-knapping, flax cordage-making, wood-working, and hafting with flint tools and tree-sap glue as you make your own flint sickle or bladed tool to take home. You will get to handle real flint artefacts from the Leicestershire region, as well as replica flint, pottery and textiles made by The Prehistoric Workshop.

This session is suitable for people of all abilities and over 18 years of age. This is a full day session and will be held in the West Wood by the Claudius Way Car Park.

The cost of this ticket includes a set lunch in The Chester House Estate Cafe.
