Despite navigating a pandemic and a few complex issues on site, our HUGE £14.5m Chester House Estate project is set to open on time on Saturday 23rd October 2021.
The Chester House Estate is a nationally significant heritage site, being one of the few places in the country which can demonstrate over 10,000 years of human activity. Explore our free to enter estate including a farm-yard shopping courtyard, outdoor play area, interpretation space, farmhouse café, pizza hovel restaurant, learning centre, archaeological archiving centre, bed and breakfast accommodation, events venue and so much more!
If that’s not enough to keep you busy, throw on your wellies and get ready for a day of autumnal activities including visiting our GIANT pumpkin patch* to find your perfect locally sourced pumpkin, our team will be on hand to help you carve your creative design! The pumpkin patch is open Saturday 23rd October – Sunday 31st October 2021.
*Additional Fees apply for the pumpkin patch with pumpkin passes being available to purchase on the day within the Visitor Centre.
Car park pre-booking is essential before visiting as this allows the Chester House Estate team to manage the car parking capacity during our busy opening period. Plan your visit, pick your appropriate car park and book your place in history here – https://chesterhouseestate.org/plan-your-visit/where-to-find-us/
Please note – If you are arriving by foot or bike there is no need to pre-book. The footbridges across the River Nene are currently closed and are on track to be fully replaced and operational by Spring 2022.
