Set in 84 acres of stunning green space, The Chester House Estate in Irchester is one of Northamptonshire’s most welcoming, popular and prestigious venues and is home to 10,000 years of history – and it is totally free to enter and enjoy.

The Farmhouse

The Farmhouse has a wide selection of fresh savoury dishes, vegetarian and vegan options and a range of sweet treats (including allergen-free cakes) from local bakers.

Our Learning department at The Chester House Estate is committed to engaging learners with our rich 10,000 year history, by delivering hands-on workshops with a range of topic options to enrich curriculum teaching and learning.

Our estate is a nationally significant heritage site and one of the few places in the country that can demonstrate over 10,000 years of human activity.

Many visits here over the past three months. Beautiful setting. Wonderful restoration of buildings. Full information about the early Briton settlement, archaeological digs (partnership with Leicester University ongoing). Small museum with archaeological finds. Staff so friendly and helpful. Excellent cafe (separate dog free area), lots of choice on menu. Child friendly with lovely wooden play area. A Northamptonshire treasure. Do visit!

As a regular provider of wedding DJ services, we have had the pleasure of working at many venues, and Chester House Estate stands out as one of our favourites. The staff at Chester House Estate are exceptionally professional and accommodating, ensuring that every event runs smoothly from start to finish.
